Синтепон достаточно плотный, гораздо плотнее обычного синтепона. Он плотнее и толще синтепона, используемых во внешних фильтрах для аквариума. Брал вырезать на замену стандартной губки из синтепона для внешнего фильтра Tetra 600, хотя уже купил на замену упаковку оригинальных губок из синтепона Tetra, но они очень тонкие и мне не внушали доверия. Из данного размера можно попробовать аккуратно вырезать до 6 губок. Вырезал по лекалу (по оригинальной губке), можно было бы и чуть больше по размеру вырезать (чтобы плотнее в корзине фильтра установить), но если вырезать побольше размером, то из данного размера уже получится вырезать только 3 и будет большой остаток (который, впрочем, можно тоже использовать). Запах слабый. Установил вырезанную губку во внешний фильтр. Рыбки, улитки и креветки живы после установки.
